A client came for an initial visit 3 weeks ago and it was very clear from the start that the clients stress levels were through the roof. The client did not stop speaking and our first 30 mins lasted 1.30 mins. If you shake a Coke bottle up and then pass it to someone to shake it and they pass it on....pressure is building and building until someone opens the top or not as the case may be. After a considerable length of time I asked the question -'How is your blood pressure'. Ah, through the roof which came as no surprise. We have been practicing ACT Therapy now for three weeks including sessions on Mindfulness and the client returned to her GP 2 weeks ago as blood pressure was being monitored closely with a view to potential medication beeing perscribed, which was not required as the blood pressure had reduced dramatically. Client was thrilled and I too. Sometimes we just cant see for ourselves that we are in fact 'a ticking timebomb'. Despite the over indulgence of Christmas my client has managed to lost 3.5 lb. This is fantastic as this can be one of the most challenging times of the year to keep focus. Increasing the exercise, still having the occasional treat is working well and the goal by mid March is 2 stone. If you would like to learn more about WoW then please get in touch. In the week leading up to Christmas Louise has lost another 2 1/4 lb which is great. At this time of year it is so so easy to stop thinking, stop planning and eat 'on the hoof'. Christmas lunches/dinners over a number of days allow the weight to slowly creep on. Louise and I have talked this through and whilst we can indulge ourselves at this time of year, its all about moderation which Louise has stuck to. Louise and I will be catching up in early 2015. Her goal is a 4lb loss over the next two weeks which will take her to stone loss in 6 weeks....a healthy amount to lose. Whilst no weight was lost this week the motivation is still high without the threat of Christmas crowding in. A growing awareness of triggers has produced a 'light bulb moment' which is powerful in shifting thought patterns to the positive. Looking forward to our next catch up. Going well. Its been another great week for Louise (not her real name). She has lost another 3lb this week, the equivalent in weight loss of 4.5 bags of sugar in just 2 weeks.. Positive habits and triggers for boredom are being recognised and motivation is strong despite the fact that we are only 2 weeks away from Christmas, a time where negative self talk can be lethal. Louise feels that positive self talk is important over the next week and her goal is to lose 2lb by next time we speak and 1 stone by Christmas Eve. I am in no doubt that this will happen. I look forward to next weeks update. My client is over the moon starting her new programme of Walking Off Weight. In her first week she has lost 6lb she has not been able to walk or do any exercise due to a heavy cold, so imagine as we did when we just spoke, what her loss could be next week when she starts exercising again tomorrow in earnest. By sticking to healthy meals, watching what she is eating my client has had a really positive first week. When asked what her motivation level was at, it was a resounding 10, so we are both looking forward to our next coaching session. Several enquiries regarding Walking Off Weight and today I start my first virtual coaching with a lady who wants to lose 4 stone. Keep watching for my update later Since starting hypnosis for weight management one of my clients has lost a staggering 5 stone 2lb. This has been achieved through a complete overhaul of both eating and drinking habits that had built up over a long period of time.
Sensible eating, with focussed portion control and a return to the gym and getting the body moving means that my client is on goal to achieve her goal weight. A fantastic achievement. Strong motivation is key to any issue that you wish to work on. Specifically with weight loss this will take sometime to achieve, ie if you want to lose 3 or 4 stone, this may have crept on slowly over a good many years and will not disapear over night.
Two of my clients are doing extremely well as there motivation is clear to see. A new client has lost over a stone since we had our initial consultation and lost 7lb in her first week of focus. This is a fantastic achievement and by not drinking wine at all, her skin looks brighter, she feels more energised and its a great start. Mother of two Suzie Gibbs allowed herself to be hypnotised into imagining she was exercising while she slept. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1280682/I-lost-stone-month-exercising-I-slept-How-hypnotherapy-helped-woman-size-22-14.html I have a new client starting today who is very keen to lose weight so exciting times.

Motivation plays a large part with any goal that we aspire to, be it weight loss, stopping smoking or any other behaviour in our life that we would like to change. Conditioning through childhood into adult hood means that many of us have picked up habits that we would like to break. Hypnotherapy, combined with NLP is a powerful way to re-train your brain to think and then act differently. Two of my weight clients are very driven towards their goal of losing weight and this determination shows. One has lost 15lb in 4 weeks and the other 8lb in her first two weeks. This is testimony to the power of motivation. Hypnotherapy is also extremely relaxing and each and everyone of us deserves to spend some time just concentrating on us....... Consultations are free to enable me to explain what hypnotherapy can or cannot do so feel free to contact me for an informal chat, it could just be exactly what you need.
