Help with Hypnosis
Hypnotherapy is a very effective way of overcoming a variety of issues in your life. By communicating subtly with your sub-conscious mind powerful suggestions are taken in. This has the ability then to create powerful changes in the way you deal with any situations personal or issues personal to you, with potentially long lasting results.Hypnotherapy has been around for thousands of years.
What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnosis is a wonderful tool that can be used to treat many conditions. Many believe that hypnosis is a sleep. Hypnosis comes from the Greek word for sleep but the state of hypnosis is very different from the state of sleep. Hypnosis is a very simple and naturally process or state depending on how you look at it. Hypnosis, used properly and professionally is simply a way of helping you make the right decisions and develop the right beliefs for you, thereby helping you to 'feel' better and to get better day to day results.
Myths of Hypnotherapy
Many people believe they will be unconscious during hypnosis. In reality hypnosis is more like a state of highly concentrated awareness to the exclusion of anything else. Another myth is that individuals will not wake up from hypnosis and will stay ‘stuck’. This will not happen. As you are not actually sleeping there is no chance of getting ‘stuck’. Termination of trance takes as long as it takes to count from 1 to 10, you will then come out of trance with the aid of your therapist. Finally many believe that a client will be put to sleep and made to do ‘silly things’, again this won’t happen. It is impossible to take control of a clients mind. A client cannot be made to do anything they would not normally do.
How can hypnotherapy help you*?
Hypnotherapy can help with a variety of conditions from sustained weight loss, stopping smoking, phobias, self-esteem and confidence to name but a few. Hypnotherapy also helps to increase relaxation and confidence for many situations. To find out how hypnotherapy can help you take a look around this website and if you are interested then get in touch with me via the contact page for an appointment for a free 30 minute consultation.
Additional therapies
I also use Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) where appropriate. These additional therapies work with the subconscious mind and compliment hypnotherapy.
*If you suffer from epilepsy, schizophrenia or clinical depression, you should consult your GP before approaching a hypnotherapist.
